It's A Tad Crazy!

I've just entered the "busiest" season in my little life. I've got working part time at Hudson Bay, golf, keeping in shape at the gym, summer week inCannon Beach with the family, future travels to Peru with Laura and Paul to trek to Machu Picchu and of course fantastic weather and almost every weekend is jammed packed with mini festivals!!!

We are also planning yet another household move for September 1st...finding an apartment was challenging, however we did managed to rent in a rental building a newly renovated suite. Totally gutted. The renovations are to be completed by September 1st! It's located in James Bay across from Beacon Hill Park. The suite is a little bit smaller and has only one bathroom but fantastic views. I am really looking forward to setting up my little art space...I am very happy about that indeed.

Although life is crazy busy, I'm still trying to complete a couple of pieces every week.

Today's was a bit rushed and more abstract, I do love the colours!

Victoria's Beauty

I cannot believe that I live in such a beautiful, little city. Everywhere I go lately is in full blown activity. The early summer activities have already started and this weekend is no exception with the inner harbour full of lean sailing vessels for "Swift Sure" - a sailing competition around Vancouver Island.

The rhododendrons are almost finished with an array of colours carpeting the ground underneath and the hanging baskets are just getting started! Goodbye spring...hello summer!

May Two Four Weekend

This is a weekend very close to my heart. Forty years ago I married my best friend. What better way to spend the weekend then with dinner and friends. Oh my, how the years fly by....kinda of like how "time flies by"... I don't seem to have a lot of "creative time" these days. Maybe I will have to reconsider and take the summer off. I really don't want to do this...however, if I do miss a post here and there it is totally okay. Right!!

We had a very special out-of-town guest this week from Kingston.... an old friend and loads of memories.

We visited Butchart Gardens...the peonies were just perfect. However, the peonies at Government House were already spent. What!!!

Here is what I managed to create using the peonies as my inspiration.

Sick Day

I have an infection and started a round of antibiotics. The grandchildren were very generous in sharing their germs. I promise to create something for my next post.

Vancouver Days

I've been summed to help out in Vancouver! The baby has chickenpox and cannot be around other children, so a five day quarantine is in effect.

The day is still early, who knows I might get something painted....before the end of the day.

Mother's Day Inspiration

I have fully recovered from my wonderful stay with the "grandchildren" in Vancouver and life is returning to normal. It was Mother's Day this past Sunday and instead of receiving flowers; I decided wouldn't be great to take a leisurely stroll through Beacon Hill Park and see and smell all the gorgeous flowers growing right in my neighbourhood. My inspiration came from enjoying the local colour!!

.... I call it "My Mother's Day Bouquet".

It Must Be Tuesday

I seem to travel to Vancouver a lot on a Tuesday. Well to be honest, I actually arrived yesterday. But still it does affect my blogging, my art, my creative self.

Last Day!

So my daughter returns today along with baby brother and the girls are pretty excited. Although the time with them has been crazy, you can't take your eyes off for a second or you will be averting a disaster, we've had a lot of fun and I'm so glad that I was able to help them out! I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

We made paper tissue flowers and a bunting sign "Welcome Home"!

A Day Of Rest

Nothing today, just relaxing, reading and enjoying a "much needed day of rest".
