Keep Calm.....

I'm not painting a lot this week due to minding the wee ones. However, we have spent almost everyday in the garden and Frances loves ladybugs.

Nana's Seven Day Visit

Once again I'm called upon to stay and mind the little ones! Very exciting indeed...

The girls have made a few requests...baking, this includes cookies (flower shaped) and mini muffins/cupcakes.

A library visit, play gym at Trout Lake, painting, gardening, scootering, colouring and that's just on the first day!

Meal requests include chicken noodle soup, mini meatballs, meat pie, tomato soup...

I'm looking forward to this week... Who knows we may produce some interesting meals..I will keep you posted.

I am looking forward to  a week of giggles, smiles, dress up, easy bedtimes and fabulous memories.

Apartment Hunting

I have today off, no work, no golf! We spent yesterday, after golf and most of today looking seriously at new and our future abode.  Nothing firmed up yet...

No painting this past week cause I've been working most days...tomorrow is my last shift until May 5th. I thought possibly this afternoon I would do something along the creative line, but I've locked myself out! So I'm waiting at the coffee shop for My Prince Charming to rescue me. This is the one time in six months that I'm not carrying my sketchbook! Darn!

Bells Are Ringing

I am so lucky to live in a beautiful little city, surrounded by the ocean, gorgeous parks and green spaces overflowing with blooming spring flowers. As I stroll around my urban space;  I'm hearing the bells of churches ring and the Carillon Bells sound out on the hour everyday...I am so grateful to be here, living in Victoria.

After my visit to Playfair Park last week, I kept seeing little bluebells, forget-me-nots and camas blooming along the walkways, city gardens, green spaces of buildings like The Empress and even cracks in concrete support natures little beauties.

Here is my take on these little bells....before they are gone!

Playfair Park

My friend and I visited this charming hidden gem known as Playfair Park in Victoria. Breathtaking views of garry oak meadows carpeted by camas, bluebells, shooting stars and a phethora of wildflowers! Aaah...

Squeezing the Most Out of Everyday

Now that the weather has finally turned, I'm spending a lot of my day taking in all that "blooms" here in Victoria. As I've said before, it's just too beautiful to say indoors!!! My week has been full of golf, the driving range, the courses and the breathtaking vistas!

Bay Days also start this week and even though I am very casual support staff, I felt that the time t step up was now. As a result, I'm working almost full time for the next two weeks! On the plus side, there will be more in the kiddy for art supplies! Be still my beating heart!!!

Flower Power

Just a little note....there is so much to see, smell and it's just beautiful here in Victoria; it's hard to have the heART to stay indoors and really get creative.  It's not an excuse, it's the truth!

I purchased a small bouquet of tulips, the yellow and red ones that my husband loves. This is my take in the abstract form using watercolours for the medium...
